बृहस्पति देव की आरती - अर्थ (Meaning in Hindi)

यह आरती गुरु-देव बृहस्पति-देव को समर्पित है, जिन्हें देवताओं का गुरु तथा बृहस्पतिवार (गुरुवार) वाले ग्रह-दिन का स्वामी माना जाता है। आरती में कहा गया है कि वे संपूर्ण परमात्मा हैं, अन्तर्यामी हैं, जगत्-पिता एवं जगदीश्वर हैं और सभी के स्वामी हैं।

चरणामृत (उनके चरणों का अमृत) को ‘निर्मल’ कहा गया है, अर्थात् वह पवित्र है और पापों को हरने वाला है। इस प्रकार आरती यह आश्वासन देती है कि भक्त यदि तन-मन-धन समर्पित कर, शरण में हो जाएँ तो उनका उद्धार संभव है।

“सकल मनोरथ दायक” का अर्थ है- वे सभी इच्छाओं के दाता हैं; “विषय विकार मिटाओ, संतन सुखकारी” कहकर यह बताया गया है कि बृहस्पति-देव वासना-विकार तथा संशय को दूर करते हैं तथा संतों को सुख प्रदान करते हैं।
